Try this: type in console "renderer.mipmapbias -1" without "". At least while playind 1600x1200 it improves tanksights signicantly.
Niipzu: Write exactly how i should write it down in the console and what should happen after? Coca-Cola: How do I change graphic settings in BF1942 over 1024 x 768 x 80? Btw thx for helping me:)
It's in options->video->and the menu is on the left side.
if you cant find that resolution ingame settings , search for video.con file in your BF1942 folder and open it with notepad then add following line
game.setGameDisplayMode 1280 1024 32 60
32 being 32 bit
60 being 60hz refreshrate
I was about to say that but I only remembered to open the notepad...
I guess if I had actually opened mine I could give an educated guess, but it's good that you saved the day.=p
I'm write it and start play and notice that it's no difference, and close down the game. When I'm checking the folders afterwards the settings in folders are back to the old one. BF1942 change it back when I'm starting the game or something. There are serveral video-folders, which one is I supposed to write in?
If you are referring to BF1942 reverting "game.setGameDisplayMode 1280 1024 32 60" in video.con back to something else, you have to make the video.con read-only by right-clicking the file and then properties... now the BF1942 cant change it back.
I always do that to the Battlefield 1942\mods\bf1942\settings\profiles\[your profile]\video.con. Now if that doesn't work, I'll eat my hat :D. (I actually dont add that line, I just replace the values with "1280 1024 32 60")
I also tried Niipzu's "renderer.mipmapbias -1" (didnt know that, nice find), higher settings make the game and ironsights look more blocky, the bottom line is that if the ironsights look too "fat" you should try changing from 0 to -1, if too thin, from -1 to 0.
Now it works!!!111!!!11!:nodding::):p it's still a bit laggy but that's really not a problem after all this time with terrible sight. Thanks everybody for the help:)
