Hey guys, a little trouble I have been running FH2 through BF2 and getting the gray and wavy iron sights . So I reinstalled and decided I would try to run it through FH2.exe (the proper way, Henceforth I had been loading Bf2 going to community and loading the mod). I’m running on windows vista so when I click FH2.exe to load it wants to know if I want to allow the program to run, I hit allow. Then a box pop ups asking if I want to run bf2.exe, if I hit allow I get the screen in FH2 telling me to run through FH2 not BF2 if, I click cancel it just stays on desktop. Any help would be well appreciated thanks. Heres my target "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\FH2.exe" But it says start in "C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2"

I had wavy b/w ironsights one day too. I'm not running Vista, but for me the prob was solved after a full reinstall (BF2, patched, FH2, ready!).

Wouldn't know how to solve the wrong targeting in Vista, though.

Yea you need to run Fh2.exe. Don't run it by starting it from Bf2 >community.

Also instead of reinstalling when you get the wavy iron sights open the Fh2 toolbox .exe and delete graphic cache.

Thanks for your speedy replies, heel erg bedankt Slayer, see whenever I run FH2.exe (Vista) prompts me to also run BF2.exe and if I do I get the message FH2 saying to run via FH2.exe not BF2.exe for some reason FH2.exe is prompting BF2.exe to run, I tried running as admin, but have yet to reinstall I just may do so im just not sure reinstalling will fix the problem of FH2.exe prompting BF2.exe to run.. also I have the FH2.exe file in C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2 folder (should it be in C:\Program Files (x86)\EA GAMES\Battlefield 2\mods\fh2 instead?), and I have EOD installed would these be problems? any further advice appreciated

The FH2.exe is supposed to be in the same folder as the BF2.exe. So that's ok. I personally don't think that you have to reinstall FH2. Try rightclicking on the Icon of the FH2 Link on your Desktop and set it there to run in Admin Mode. You can see how this is done in the FH2 for BF2 troubleshooting thread at the top of this forum section.

Have you tried setting the FH2 Link to play in Win XP Mode and as Admin?

Well, I reinstalled both BF2 and FH2 multiple times and I even redownloaded FH2 (2.15 full) but now I have a slighty different problem, although I got FH2 to start once (dont know why it worked just once) now when I launch FH2 it does not prompt be to run BF2.exe but when it enters it says that I should be running FH2.exe not BF2.exe and if I go to task manager it shows BF2.exe running not FH2.exe

I just love people who answer questions... Have you tried running BF2 once before opening FH2? If you don't you'll most likely recieve an error as well.
