well i havent played FH in a long while now, too long. i wanted to play today, so i plug in my cheap stick since my X52 doesnt work well with it, and pop in the disc...

screen turns black like it's starting, then a noise and i crash to desktop. uninstalled and reinstalled BF42 to no avail. this was happening with BF42 and all mods. Help FH forums!

Looks like the first install of Battlefield may have been corrupted and you ended up with a corrupt file in your registery.

You're going to need a program like REGcleaner or Registry Mechanic to sort out the Battlefield 1942 files inside your registry and delete them.

that's what I figured. DIdn't feel like nuking the registry though. oh well here it goes
