im trying to add the battle of foy houses to BC:mad: , But i can only get funny colored squares, can any one give me the codes ive gone to Donutz but im probley in spam bix with him. Does anyone no the codes? cheers
The Battle of Foy map is over bc42 possibilities since it has alot more features than the editor offers. I guess if you would unpack it and take the ground textures, height map and stuff like that to files of newly created map in bc it could work. And I'm sure Donitz didn't throw you into ignore list, he's just a very busy person.;)
I just want the LST codes for the houses of battle of foy, but what meant by the donutz remark is that im just another mapper, with another Q&A he must get them all the time.
Donitz should update the FAQ and explain he's in Bf2 mapping now and forgot all the bf42 stuff... well, unless the little he knew.:p *runs*
Which houses are you talking about?
I've noticed it too, at least, certain Foy houses (the nice french ones) dont show up when I test my map o.O
guys, the BC.lst file you use is wrong... the fh_french_house4 for ex: should be called _m1 at the end, check the objects.con and you get the right names... or use ed42 where they all show :-)

I can't say what is the correct lines atm because I don't have bc installed anymore but you need to find the proper name for the house and the standardmesh name I believe.
ok natty, but when i get the standerd mesh names they look like this, frnchse1, but ill try adding _m1 after them cheers!
yea have a look in the geometry or objects.con for those houses; the error is in your Bc .lst file; remember how BC works ::: whatever is in the .lst file it will write into your StaticObjects.con, so even if you can see the house in BC (cos it refers to the correct standardmesh) it can be an error if one letter is missing so you wont see the house in-game.... you need to add the _m1 into your staticobjects.con if you allready put the house out, or delete it from the map and then put it back in again with the real name in the .lst file.. Ed42 dont give you these problems.... + ed42 also reads the objects.con files, BC only reads StandardMesh and Texture, which causes headaches if you for ex want to furniture a house or so; since all that stuff is stored only in the objects.con for the house.... (chairs, tables etc)
