I've been looking for some new ideas and one that I've messed around with is the Battle of Longchamps on January 3, 1945. This battle took place during the 101st stand at Bastogne on January 3, 1945 and was one of the more intense and interesting battles at Bastogne. My question is; Has anyone else been working on anything similar? Yen Lo Wang

There used to be a Bastogne Forrest fan-map. I was working on a Bastogne map, but it got corrupted somehow, and so I stopped working on it in favor of the Warsaw Uprising.

Basicly the battle was comprised of elements from the 19th SS Panzer Grenadiers Regiment and the 12 SS Panzer Division against the 2/502nd. About 28 Tanks and a battalion of infantry overran the allied lines. The tanks actually overran the American positions and tried to suffocate or smash some of the troopers in their foxholes, by back over them time and again. The Germans kept up a constant artillery and mortar barrage and the American artillery did help to decimate the attackers. So instead of a Foy, think more of an outskirts, except the defenders lack armor, however they would have better cover and the fight would generally be a close range brawl between armor and AT Infantry.
