RussianComrade;3709006I'll live in FHT Hong Kong-1941 :D
Or one of Toucinator's France-themed maps, they're a real beauty.
that map is sadly not realistic...lol
we know you live in Hong Kong Henry...
Is Operation Market Garden realistic? Is El alamein realistic? Is Battle of the Bulge realistic?
Hong Kong is based on a map that took 7 months for creator El Thilo to make, it is the best custom BFV map ever made and DiCE even noticed it and made an announcement on their homepage when it was released. We then took this great map and applied it to our mod and forgotten hope, I re-textured it, gave it almost a completely new set of static objects, generated lightmaps, shadows, added sound and transformed the map completely, in around 50-60 working hours of precise level-designing.. Maps are not done to simulate real environment, they are a representation of a certain battle or place, and has nothing to do with "realism". You as a mapper should know this. Until someone makes a map more looking like HongKong than this one, then this is THE hongkong map in Battlefield.. Much like Arnhem-1944 is THE arnhem map now since FH did it, because even though that is not what Arnhem looks like (Ive been there, my brother lives there) it is as close as you can get with this game. (And its a lot better than the horrible Op.Market Garden by DICE)
General_Henry;3710433that map is sadly not realistic...lol
Doesn't matter to me, still a sweet map. I could also pass for Toucinator's Toujane map or Cretan Village, though I'm not a huge North Africa/Mediterranean fan.
I'd like to live in Operation Forager for FHSW. That map is just pure Chi, or Zen, or whatever the word is. But that stream... *heaven*
So they used that old map? so now it exists in vanilla, EoD, FHSW and soon our mod as well... nice, Zara5uthra should be proud.
That map for organized play? What's the point, it's basically a tube-run with a city. Big open maps, which aren't really that fun (Breakthrough, Hell in Bocage) work much better organized, while small run-die maps don't.
