BC2.1 FH map files 1.2

every time i start BC i get the following message: Could not load mesh defined as [my name]=StandardMesh(*object name*) in FH.lst

the objects affected so far are: brummbar_l1, flak38_cannon_m1, katyusha_str_m1, m36b1_jackson_hull_l1, nebelwerfer_launcher_m1, priest_cannon2_m1

other objects that don't appear: ammo-boxes (probably those .9 vertical units) B17 Tiger various flak, artillery, benches (active) and howitzers.

the mortar, and the Omaha-1944 bunkers show up as they are supposed to.

i searched this forum for the error message, but returned negative. also tried manually searching a couple of threads.

any ideas?

Might not be in your List files. Though I am not sure exactly how BC works, aside from not working well.... It can never give me the Willy or Kubelwagon stuff either.

it didn't complain when i added the objects to my map. when i then shut down BC, had some dinner and returned - it started bugging on me.

where should i look for what, anyone?

This seems like a pretty small problem to me, but I must confess that the bugs of 2.1 are still a mystery to me. It almost seems that this latest version has even weirder bugs than its predecessors. Like I was working on a map and It actually REPLACED objects that I had laid down in ed42. If I had saved the map, these objects would have remained forever altered, so now I just stick to Ed42. And I always suggest that everyone also avoid Bc42 unless you're using it to do something like material mapping (so long as you aren't trying to do the "out of bounds" mapping) or just basically generating a random heightmap.

what do you mean by small problem? easy to fix? (won't do any ed42-work until next weekend)

i just read a bit in the config-file i downloaded:

ModsPath=Mods\fh\ ObjectsPath=Mods\fh\objects\ StandardMeshPath=Mods\fh\standardMesh\ TreeMeshPath=Mods\BF1942\treeMesh\ TexturePath=Mods\fh\Texture\

(comments removed for readability) none of those folders exist. i suppose that's the key to get this working, but i don't know how.

Well the bf1942 .cfg list is set up in the exact same way. Non of those files exist in that directory (all are located in the mods/fh/archive dir. ) but somehow it works.

so does that mean that you don't have any clue as to how to fix it? i changed the spawn config a bit (disconnected from the flag) and now the B17 spawn. I also added a couple of Kubels that show up.

the bullets from the .50 cals (b17) does not work either. they just never appear.

i still get that annoying message in the beginning, and none of the armor or arty (save the small mortar) show up. rifle grenades do work

ah well it probably isn't that hard to fix, but neither me nor lightning worked on that list for a long time ago. We might make a new list for bf 0.65 but we are not sure tough. It will cost us atleast a day to get most of the objects in and test them but even then we would need a week where people would report missing vehicles, errors etc.

So you probably better try to fix some things yourself, add them manually in the .con files or use ed42.

I mean that the problem can be easily avoided by simply using ed42. Gosh, i'm not very helpful, am I?

I am pretty surprised the devs don't release an official LST file for the mod, to encourage people to make more maps. Don't they have one that they use internally do create the maps?
