Yes, that's right. I am down on my knees :crash:

The concept of layers is a bit hard to understand...also the frequently mutating "change color source" dialogue box confuses me.

Obviously the "change color source" dialogue box is central but I don't understand how it works. This makes it very hard for me to learn to make textures in ED42. An expanded tutorial, for example with some sample images showing how a texture changes in response to edits would be most welcome if anyone cared to write it. Some in-depth explanations of how "layers" work (and the shadow/root/etc etc terminology) would be most welcome too.
