Can someone point me in the direction how to convert TreeMeshes to StandardMeshes (so I can see them in Ed42) I have all the vanilla trees allready but lots of FH stuff is still not converted... I have 3Dsmax and the Bf-tool and I have tried to for example import a fh_ptree into it, but I dont understand how to export it as a .sm...

Or:: maybe some mapper is sitting on all these allready converted... Im especially after all the fh palms and the iwo_jima trees......

Cheers if so

Ok, I will show you. Here I imported Pacif_Palm_Burnt1.tm. As we can see the tree consists of 4 different parts.

We don't need the parts Pacif_Palm_Burnt1 and COL_treemesh, therefore I select them and delete them. Now I select Trunk_01, right click and choose "attach".

Then you select the other part of the tree hit ok on the box popping up and the tree will only have one part left. This one we will now export to standardmesh. To do that open your Battlefield tools in 3dmodels export mode. Hit Add Lod and now select the tree. Your screen should look something like that.

Now hit the export button, choose your editors standardmesh folder, name the file like the original one(in this case "Pacif_Palm_Burnt1") and hit save.

If I remember right that's all you need to do.

Bah, looking at it, it seems those pictures don't really help, but I'm sure you can figure out what I mean.

I was thinking about you when I saw the name, but thought it was somebody else because of the illuminator thingy. I should have looked at your avatar and your sig earlier.:)

Hmm, are you sure you did attach the leaves to the trunk before you exported it? If you did, the texture might be the problem why you can't see the leaves in editor. I'm not certain about it, but I would try to remove the texture in the .rs file and see what happens.

edit: nevermind
