Hey all! My map Fjords is crashing to desktop whenever someone tries to connect to a server running the map. It loads and runs just fine on a local game though. So I thought I would run it by the debugger in a local game to see if it gives any errors there anyway. So I fire up the bf1942_r.exe (I also have the mod_r.dll in my "mods/bf1942" folder", and vanilla bf starts so I have to switch to FH. When I do this however, I get an error saying: Debug assertion failed! Module: IoFile File: Engine\IoFile\FlatArchive.cpp Line: 792 Expression: sucess Text: Error loading file list Select RETRY to continue and supress all assertions from this location during the remainder of this session. Current confile: [Abort] [Retry] [Ignore] If I choose retry, FH loads just fine, but I get no more error boxes or anything. This might sound good, but I know there is some error in the map so I should be getting error messages. If I choose Ignore on the first error dialogue, FH loads fine then as well, but I get the same error when loading a map, if I then choose ignore I do not get any more errors again. Obviously, choosing Abort closes BF entirely. So what to do here? Oh and is there a way to use the debugger on an online server? Since this error only happens when someone else joins a server, it might not show up in a local game.

Well, flat archive means just, that there is a badly packed .rfa-file ... is there an .rfa inside your map ? Is there a bad map in the server's map list ? Custom archives ? You may also look into the .log-file of the debugger, and find the location where it says "flat archive" and look if you find something special above or below. And ... as far as i know, the debugger can be run in lan-mode, but not in Internet-mode. Someone told me, i haven't tried myself.

Sorry for taking so long to reply. I've reinstalled FH and ran the debugger again, this time it gave no errors when switching to FH, or when i loaded the map. I tried loading another map (Fall Weiss), and got one debugger error (something about not finding a standardmesh file), but no errors when loading Fjords. This is kinda weird, as I know that there must be something wrong with it since it keeps crashing in an online game. Guess the error does not occur when it's a local game.
