This map is based on the famed American Volunteer Group (nicknamed "Flying Tigers" by the Japanese for the noseart on their P40s) basically its much like DCs No Fly Zone. Its the US vs Japanese and each team spawns at their airfield. theirs plenty of winding mountains to fly around, making for some extreme chases through the Burman hills. When finished, it should be a fighter pilots paradise. to do list: -finish terrain -finish texturing -fix airfield textures (looks like grey grass) -add foilage -put in Japanese airfield -look for floating objects -add some more AA -add the Japanese planes -generate heightmap -playtest -MultiPlayer playtest -fix lag problems that may occur, and tweak following player reviews -finish fog settings -finish little detais (lighting direction, shadows) probably completed by tommorow: -fix airfield textures -fix this thing: burma2.jpg -start on Japanese airfield -add more AA now for the screenshots: :naughty: burma1.jpgBurma4.jpgburma5.jpgBurma3.jpgburma7.jpg comments, suggestions on the map would be great

Pvt. Ryan-fix this thing: burma2.jpg

Remove "textureManager.alternativePath Texture" from your init.con

Looking good so far!

It obviously needs the foliage but that is already on your to-do list. My only other compaint is that the textures look a little low quality from ground level(look great from air).

I voted yes for air flags.

looks like a good start man, I think its awsome your working on a burma map. A very intersting unde-publisced theater. I voted yes for air cappable flags, because it would be near to try. However, I think would have to see what the ground compoment was like, and how it actually worked out as to whether I think it would work out well.

nope. the code mentioned overrides the textures you paint. it has bothered a lot of novice mappers, me included of course.

Why don't you use the Flying tigers camo?, it's in the texture folder GENERAL_CHINESE
