In the instructions this step is listed:
"2.4 - Extract the TEXTURE.RFA file included with the game and mods into c:\bfdev\standardMesh\ (With RFAExtractor, you will have to specify c:\bfdev\texture\)"
Why would you add textures to the standard mesh folder?
Also, do I leave the .001 files alone? like standardmesh001.rfa and textures001.rfa?

hmm i think that has to be c:\bfdev\texture\ :p and the 001 files are updates with extra files or files thast overwrite old ones so yes it probably would be best to unpac them aswell though it is not always needed (fir example the extra texture files are not really needed if you want to only put in objects on the map).
