For some reason, when I open a map I decompiled after creating it in Battlecraft, I am unable to paint textures using Editor 42, and I am at a loss at how to get the program to function properly. It works perfectly when working on a map created by Editor 42 alone, but when it comes to Battlecraft maps that I have extracted, the program [Editor 42] refuses to cooperate. Help, please!
What exact texturing problems do you encounter and how exactly the Ed42 refuse to cooperate?
You need to texture the whole Map the first time in BC! It doesn´t matter what you choose ... After that use the merging tool from BC, save your level, unpack it and open it in ed42! Now it should work ...
Umm...yeah, I forgot about it. This is your problem for sure, it's not just about texturing the level but the BC's tool is creating material map and remember that only the area you'll select to generate you will have in game with textures. As for the rest you'll be able to modifie the terrain but not the color.
