hmmm... if you meant the bf2editor folder, I don't see that file anywhere... and since you mentioned spawner, does that mean I really have to add an object spawner or something?

That folder is in your map folder.

ok, I recently put object spawners in. And I put the emplaced MGs in the training area. Now the stuff about the MGs appear on the GamePlayObjects.con file

Raising a dead horse and beating it some more -

In fairness to Natty, I don't think his uncertainty was unreasonable. The confusion arose because the project name seemed to be about how to play the game, but the thread was in "Mapping". So Natty's uncertainty was over whether the aim of the Boot Camp Project was to:

1) teach inexperienced players how to play the game, or 2) teach mapper wannabees how to make maps.

BTW, it's a fantastic idea pheeph, and much appreciated....whatever the purpose is. ;)

Is it possible to use the soldier models as melee dummies and shooting range targets (including the Gumby model I saw in the list)?

I made a infantry training map as well as a pilot training map last year for the clan, if you're interested in taking a look at them I can give you the links. I'm proud of them :P

here's what the obstacle course looks like so far. I might add more stuff. attachment.php?attachmentid=70047&stc=1&d=1236578087

I may have to add some more signs such as range station numbers for the shooting range.

Also, I might make this into a coop map instead because I can spawn bots at the firing area of the shooting range. I just need to make the bots immobile.

I have soldiers I made out of buckets and barrels for melee practice, as well as target ranges with targets and targets in windows of houses etc :P

Looking good, pheeph.

Maybe you could make the front side of the ladder wall (the first obstacle) require a grappling hook to get up on? (place a pick up grapple kit or two at the start of the course). :)

EDIT - You could also use the dynamic tin cans for some kind of shooting practice (there is a small target range with these cans on Siege of Giarabub! :p)
