I have checked mapping tools, downloaded battlecraft since it was for n00bs. :) :bawl: Correct me? am I right by doing that? When I start the programs, what do I need to make my perfect map...except these programs that is, have photoshop already for some fixing... What I'm asking! How do I make a map these days? :uhoh:
to use photoshop, you need to have the .dds-tga conversion tools, a link to which is at this site... also some good tutorials on pathmapping for sp http://forums.thebattlefields.com/showpost.php?p=110055&postcount=18 it might help to have the unofficial bf sdk, as well: http://perfectionist.planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/PSite/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownload&cid=6 I think that link should work. and I use editor 42. I don't have a link for that one, but I know someone around here should. Oh, and you need the battlefield MDT: http://mdt.planetbattlefield.gamespy.com/index.shtm
Just plan how your map should be and start working on it. When you encounter problems wich require advanced knowledge (like making separate spawn points for both teams at the same flag) start asking around. This way if your map is very sophisticated and you'll manage to go through all of the steps you'll gain all the knowledge. Otherwise it's just impossible to write down in a single tread everything what one can do with a map.
Yeah thank you, I will ask more later, will see if I find my old version of Nijimegen... was a very clever map but I gave up when I couldn't implement objects.... gonna make another try
