How do you get the loading bar to work correctly. Everytime my map loads, as soon as the load screen comes on the bar is already full.

i think knoffhoff or someone else has said how it is to be done. IIRC you remove the loadbarcounter.something from the RFA, and BF creates a proper one when loading the map next time. you then pack that file with the rfa where the old loadbarcounter.something used to be.

take a backup and try it out, or search the forum and the web for more info :)

Hey bizness! The progress rate of your loading-bar is determined by the file "Loadcounter.dat", which can be found in your maps maindirectory When you make a map with BC, it will create this file to begin with, but if you then edit your map with other editors (such as Editor42) that file will not be updated with how long it will take to load your map. (not really shure if BC updates it either actually). But you can easily create a new one for your map: 1. Unpack your map and delete (or rename) the Loadcounter.dat file. 2. Pack your map up again, and put it in the FH levels folder (or whichever mod the map is for) 3. Fire up the game and load the map. You'll notice that the loading bar seems to be having a seizure or something, filling up very rapidly many times (this is what you're talking about Capone, maps with missing loadcounters will do this) 4. After the map has loaded you may exit the game and go into the following folder in your BF's main install directory: "bf1942\levels\YOUR MAPS NAME\" There you will find a new Loadcounter.dat. 5. Take that new loadcounter and stick it where you extracted your map to begin with, pack the map up again, and put it in the levels folder! Now when you load the map you should have a nice accurate loading bar. Thanks to knoffhoff for this one!: http://www.forgottenmaps.net/viewtopic.php?t=41

I just take a load counter from another map, like Bocage, or Bulge, whichever I like. Seems to be working just fine.
