I've done (redone in fact) a tank so that it can take spots. The code contains these lines which I think enables it to take spots.

ObjectTemplate.setVehicleCategory VCLandObjectTemplate.setVehicleType VTArtilleryObjectTemplate.setToolTipType TTArtilleryObjectTemplate.artPos 1ObjectTemplate.DirBarXScale 25ObjectTemplate.DirBarYScaleAbove 40ObjectTemplate.DirBarYScaleBelow 5ObjectTemplate.DirBarYScaleMin -90ObjectTemplate.DirBarYScaleMax -50ObjectTemplate.hasRestrictedExit 1

So, I went in-game to test it. Used binocs to call out a target and then jumped in the vehicle. Pressed right mouse button. The screen goes black as if it was going to change the camera but then it goes back to normal, I don't see the spot camera. The weird thing is that it seems to work but it doesn't change cameras. When there's a target available the little rocket icon starts flashing so the vehicle knows there's a target but it just doesn't change cameras. Any ideas?
