Rexman's 3DSMax tools BF1942 tool for 3dsMax: 3DSMax tool 6. rfa explorer * you can open up an rfa an view the files (text and images) like you would in explorer. double click the file to save to harddisk. get it 7. Eleblend * Eleblend is another program for texturing, it's also good to make new textures for buildings and such. Eleblend 8. Terragen * To make custom skies you better download this program : Terragen. It's shareware, you will be limited in filesize and some other stuff (but it's not important for making bf skies).
Is there another program supported for making 3D objects besides 3DSMax? I'm most acquainted with Worldcraft from the old Half-Life game and the like, so if there's any programs like (especially free ones), I could go to town and make just about anything.
Try Milkshape 3D, GMax (its the free but simpler version of 3DSMax) or Maya 3D: Modeling: Rexman's Tools Milkshape 3D GMax Maya 3D Skinning/Texturing: .DDS Image filetype plugin for Adobe photoshop (Also works with PSP) Paint Shop Pro trial Adobe Photoshop Trial 20/20 Irfanview (Image viewer/converter/renamer.) Sound/Video Tools: RAD Game Tools (BINK Sound and Video) FRAPS (In Game, OpenGL Video Capturing)
Many, many thanks, my friend. Very nice of you to put this all in one place. Makes it infinitely easier for those such as myself who are late to the scene.
If you don't get the DDS plugin from the Nvidia site to work download the "The unofficial SDK" it has a DDS plugin for photoshop aswell and it works for sure!

If anyone is looking for a good DDS convertor...... I've got one! it converts dds files into: bmp. jpg. jif. jpeg. png. psd. tga. Of course it converts all of these files into dds files too!
