Okay, I have this material map that I want to get into my map. I changed the format from the RAW file so it could be seen, and used other maps material maps to get the colors right. I've extracted the level RFA and replaced the material map, then re-packed it, but when I did that, Battlecraft said the level was missing files, and could not open it. Editor 42, I haven't much idea how to use. I can get it to accept the material map, but I don't know how to make it generate terrain. All I see is black ground, even though the material map shows up. So I really have no idea what is up. Also.... the .dds plug-in for Photoshop doesn't work. I placed the dds plug-in in the file formats folder of the Photoshop directory, and places the .dll files it instructed me to in the Windows/System directory, but Photoshop just tells me d3d9.dll is missing, and won't let me open .dds files. I seem to be doing everything wrong, huh?

Hmmm, maybe you should try adding the files in battlecraft, with that built-in file adding utility. Last time I tried importing heightmaps like that it worked fine (well, not fine, it crashed after you added it, but if you restart battlecraft it will have changed).

As for photoshop, I don't know, I don't think I needed to do that with WinXP...
