I'm interested. HAve you guys all got MSN? I know Dönitz does. Well anyway, mine is email@example.com . We should get together once and set things up if you're serious about this.

Hey, if you guys don't mind, I'd kind of like to join in on this. I'm working on a map now and I'd like to create some statics and I was going to do it all myself, but it'd make so much more sense to pool resources. I have to mention, though, that I'm just starting out with Gmax...:p but I'm learning and I'm always willing to help out where I can. -Bagginses

BTW, I love the new sidewalks. I hope to get the tutorial done so that you can skin them.:D
Wanna go Double Dutch?

Those sidewalks look sweet! Those 90 degree, 60, 45, 30, and 15 degree corners! Its quite annoying to use two sidewalks ontop of eachother if you wish to make a 120 degree turn or even a sigle corner for a 60 degree turn since it cause the objects to "flikker". my contact information can be found in my user profile: msn: robvreeburg [at] hotmail.com aim: robvreeburg Personally i would suggest to stat making objects that can be used in most maps: - sidewalks (with 2 or 3 different versions -other skins that is-) - fences (stone, wooden, metal) - hedges - suburban houses (prefarably european since most map take place in europe/russia) - city houses (prefarably european since most map take place in europe/russia) - a different bridge! the current bridge kinda suck. http://www.thosebeyondtime.com/Sidewalks.zip Here's sidewalks. Still no textures, because I still don't have a clue how to do that. So somebody skin them, and I shall deem you awesome. Other than the texture, included is everything you need to get them into your map. Just put the objects and standardmesh folders in the map's unpacked RFA file, put the line "run objects/objects" in your main init.con file, and re-pack the level. To get them to work in BC, add these lines to your LST file. sidewalk_InnerCorner15=StandardMesh(sidewalk_InnerCorner15) sidewalk_InnerCorner30=StandardMesh(sidewalk_InnerCorner30) sidewalk_InnerCorner45=StandardMesh(sidewalk_InnerCorner45) sidewalk_InnerCorner60=StandardMesh(sidewalk_InnerCorner60) sidewalk_InnerCorner90=StandardMesh(sidewalk_InnerCorner90) sidewalk_corner15=StandardMesh(sidewalk_corner15) sidewalk_corner30=StandardMesh(sidewalk_corner30) sidewalk_corner45=StandardMesh(sidewalk_corner45) sidewalk_corner60=StandardMesh(sidewalk_corner60) sidewalk_corner90=StandardMesh(sidewalk_corner90) sidewalk_straight50=StandardMesh(sidewalk_straight50) sidewalk_straight100=StandardMesh(sidewalk_straight100) sidewalk_straight200=StandardMesh(sidewalk_straight200) sidewalk_straight300=StandardMesh(sidewalk_straight300) sidewalk_straight400=StandardMesh(sidewalk_straight400) Currently, they have the same material ID as Paved Road. It works well enough for sidewalks, except it does not show bulletholes when shot. I would have used a stone material ID, but I'd need a list of the material ID numbers, and what materials they stand for. So far, I haven't turned up anything like that. The game.rfa has a list of the numbers, but not what most of them do.
I think I can skin it, as long as it has flat surfaces.. hmm.
I just made a house. Took me a small hour. If someone can skin it for me, excellent. The whole house is made of flat surfaces. Except for the ridges and windows. Those don't need texturing, just one color. As long as the house would look dark red or brown (not vanilla circus colors) it'd be good.
I'm off to make more houses, and wreck models. Download current below.
rudolf do you have a uvmap of it
