Still, these sidewalks are going to take me some time, I have to put the texture down for all the lods. Unless anyone has a problem with just having 2 or 3 lods per sidewalk? It is low poly after all.:D

This is awesome! Too bad that i wont be able to test them until sunday evening though (i'm behind a crappy PC rightnow and i have absolutly no means to tranfers data from this crappy pc to my lap -i have no floppy or usb key with me-) lets just hope that your links wont go death :).

I take it that sidewalk_straight50/100/.. are the distances in meters/feet? Or is it just to inicate the lenght of one object compared to an other one? (sidewalk_straight50 is half the lenght of sidewalk_straight100).

I will start modeling 1 or 2 houses this week as soon as i know the exact scale/lenght that they have to be in. I need a hous that is 15 meters width. I could use the object "plank_10m" to make sure that the bulding is 15 meters with but i don't really know if the plank is 10 meters with, it probably is close (8-10 meters) but i still have my doubs. Could anybody confirm that the plank is 10 meters long? or an other object with round numbers (1, 2, 5, 10, etc.)?

The houses i will try to model will be dutch houses (guess why :P ) and i have a couple of photgraps of the front, right side and the roof of the house.

http://www.marketgarden.com/new/gallery2frame.html (the house with te disription "june 1937" its the house in the centre of the pic with the chimney).

a small part of the house can be seen on the far left: http://www.arnhemarchive.org/Photos1/Pic_BrigadeHQ_1.jpg

I also want to model the houses along the main road with the jeep on it: http://www.arnhemarchive.org/Photos/PicBridgeWreck1.jpg

and if i have time i will model the houses on the right front of the bridge too: http://www.arnhemarchive.org/Photos/PicBridge.jpg

Ofcourse i have to model the bridgekeepershouses and the stairs leading up to the bridge first.

PS: Its very hard too chose since there are so many different houses: http://arnhemarchive.org/PBridge.htm. So maybe i will decide to model an other house first. What are you thoughts?

Well, I was going for increments of meters, as that's what I had it set to in 3DSMax. The scale is rather off once you get them in game, I think. Like I said, the 200 and 100 versions match the existsing long and short pieces in BF already. The 300 and 400 were added just for less work in placing long stretches of sidewalk, and have the exact same amount of polygons.

Double post, but I'm sure you can forgive me. Got a new object, hot off the.... well, wherever you get this stuff. http://www.thosebeyondtime.com/Citymesh_new1.jpg Unskinned, but you're probably going to have to expect that from me for a while. Sorry. Based off an image in a photo, it clocks in at 892 polygons, which is well within the range of the BF closed citymeshes, which goes from 600-100. The building's dimensions mostly resemble citymesh_4. http://www.thosebeyondtime.com/citymesh_new1.zip And here is the file with the mesh itself inside. You'll have to set the Object.cons yourself this time to get it into your map. Again, sorry. I'll see if I can make an interior for this one later. Until next time.
