I’m working on a new map with an objective mode. I looked at the mapdata.py and tmp.con from operation hyacinth and I think I understand it enough to use it for my map. But I’m not familiar with python so maybe someone can tell me if I’m on the right track.

 • In my map I want the Germans to attack and the British to defend, will this cause any problems?
 • If I use the mapdata.py from operation hyacinth I can change this part:

plugin(destroyObjective, controlpoint = 'CP_64_Hy_Airfield', \ refcount = 6, \ template = 'mc202_objective'),
To this:
plugin(destroyObjective, controlpoint = 'Airfield', \ refcount = 10, \ template = 'beaufightermk1'),
The British then have to defend ten beaufighters (which I can lock up in tmp.con) or they will lose the Airfield, right?
• If all the objectives are destroyed does the defending team automatically lose or just lose all their controlpoints and spawnpoints?

(I know there are more threads like this one but i couldnt find any answers for these specific questions)

1. That should be fine. destroyObjective actually just toggles the ownership of the controlpoint you name. 2. Yes that looks correct. In the tmp.con you might want to disable the beaufighters entrypoints (ie make the entry radius zero) to stop the british flying off with the objectives.. 3. Just the controlpoint is toggled.

Thanks So I can make the british tickets bleed and lose the game (if all objectives are destroyed) without the germans having to kill all the british players? It doesnt seem to work that way in Hyacinth because the areavalue for team 2 is not set, or am I missing something?
