Hi guys,

FHW is building an own map called cassino. The map is ready so far. Winters created the map for our italy campaign, im making terrain shadows and lightmaps. Im konverting FH and other maps to our own minimap. But that was first time, im making shadows and lightmaps. So i`m a rookie ;) .

Terrainshadows are working now. OK, the sun direction is not 100% accurate but its ok.

After making terrainshadows (with armins tools) i started to make the object lightmaps. After 2 houres it was finished. I put it into the map, packed it to rfa and started it.

But now see what happens. Some are working, some not. Most of the italian buildings are not working, they are blue.

Can someone tell me why this happens and how to solve this problem?

I created the sample files before with armins tool.

I think you installed your gimzit backwards. Reinstall the gimzit, but make sure the machosater is aligned with the bagalongie.

Or wait a little longer until someone who knows what they're talking about appears.

How did you do exactly when you made the lightmaps?

* You created .samples with samplemaker, right? * You have the StandardMesh and the Objects in the map only, right? * Your map, is it in RtR or Fh mode right now?

I also use plenty of objects from RtR, S.W. and all mods ever created for Bf42 + Bfv --- I dont get lightmaps for them in FH!!!

Not shadows either!

I have tried everything... I even made my own mod; called "working" which has .RFA files with Bf42 + FH + norwegianRes + RtR + S.W. combined all into one mod.... still : when I run the process all bf42 an FH objects get shadows and lightmaps but not objects I have imported from other mods....

Do you have the objects ONLY in the map, or do you run the process when the map is in RtR mode??

I`m from FHW, Forgotten Hope Warzone RPG Community.

Me and FHW-Franklin converting different maps to FH/ FHW Minimod and creating own objects.

I did the shadows and objectlightmaps like written in a tutorial which you can find here in the forum.

1st: Create the samples with samplemaker. Therefore write down your objects into the samplemaker.bat (or something like that). Then put the mesh files into this directory and run the programm.

2nd: Copy the samplefiles into your main bf1942 folder "shadowwork" and "standardmesh".

3rd: Put the map you are workin on into the shadowwork/bf1942/levels folder.

4rd: Put a packed map version into your fh levels folder.

5th: run armins tool but before - correct the paths in the bat file.

Search for "objectlightmaps" in forum. You can find good tutors.

@ Natty I told you before but did not exactly remember what I did back then. Now I found it out again. I have .sample files of my custom objects in the shadowwork and standardmesh folder. Also I have .rs and .sm files of those objects in the standardmesh folder. Works perfectly for me.
