i love FH.it is a great mod.but i am bothered with a problem.its about the maps.i play singleplayer,so when i want to find a new map(say omaha beach map from tdp),i cant find it anywhere.i look everywhere and i find it in the multiplayer games section.i want to play it in singleplayer.is there a way to convert maps from multiplayer to singleplayer?
TDP Omaha is a server-modified map. A modified version of the original FH map, which, in my view, was much better. FH Omaha does not have a destroyer camping the bunker, nor panzer4 or landing crafts and sherman tanks ruining the game. Pure hard -core infantry marching to the front. And the map is a masterpiece of mapping, very balanced and exciting for both sides to play.
SSMing maps from FH the way TDP does it is disrespectful for the dev's work.
TDP SSM = utter s***

Yes but you must learn it, and it is not easy.

(I only really despise the map because it's played every second round on the server I lurk around....people grey the back flag and piss off because they can't cap it, which seriously annoys me...if you want Saving Private Ryan reenactments watch the movie more and vote it in less)
i don't understand it how omaha can be balanced. (lets for get real live for a minute) now i only know tdp ssmed omaha version. But i believe the original omaha is only with landing craft (no buffalo's,....). How in gods name can allies win this only half maybe less of the infantery will arrive at the shingle and the bunkers. And even if they capture a flag, the door will be camped with nades and deployable MG's.
so how can allies win that map?
They do win, several times. I've played as allied and german on that map, and I can tell you, it's 50/50. All you require is teamwork. Allies have plenty of tickets to spare on the landing; even if they die by the hundreds, if they advance together the germans cant kill them all. If an engineer gets to the bunker doors and blows them up, it's only a matter of time.
A common mistake most allied players commit is the fact that often dont try to cap the beach flag, which is very important. Instead, you see a lot of players trying to flank the germans MG by landing on the left ad right side of the beach - which they can't, btw. The germans MG's and artillery will get them on the flanks, anyway. But do they understand it? No...
This prevents allies from having a steady spawn right on the beach, which delays the full frontal attack necessary to cap the bunkers. Germans know this, so they put every artillery they got on the beach flag. If they prevent allies from capping that flag, they buy a lot of time.
Many players, being completely absent on tactical and strategic thinking, never realised this. Most players are plain dumb, really. An inheritance from FPS games where you just have to charge, pray&spray and not think too much.
It's a shame, really, because FH needs brains to be fully enjoyed.
I agree with ww2freak. I've seen allies win Omaha many times on wolf, when the allies have competent players who actually try and play to win. Its a map where the attacking team must all push hard and over run the enemy. Camping = lose for allies. Allies will always lose on this map when its half full of players waiting for someone else to do the work. Get in there and die, do your job! Because when they're shooting you, that means they arent shooting the guy beside you, and he might make it. Its a map for Hard Chargers, not ninnies
Omaha was one of my favourite maps, and I allways played as allied and I hardly ever lost the map. People saying it is to hard to win for allies don't know what they are talking about. And argueing water buffalos and sfz 222 would make the map balanced is some of the worst bullshit I have ever heard.
