Here you go, the new version of my map Sky Valley. First I'd like to thank everyone for downloading my map and giving feedback. I also like to thank Frank Beans for the Navmesh etc I was allowed to use for my map.

downloading new version as we speak, can't wait to get home & try it out. how did the navmesh work schism - rvtl?

No, seriously, it's fantastic.

I wish I could try it right now, but I can't until Friday :/ Oh well. Looks beautiful!

Is there any chance of this being adopted into the new patch as a standard map? Or is there some sort of "it has to have been a real battle and have a story behind it" rule?

Hmm, that map looks very playable. And I love the tunnel leading to the moutaintop and the swirling wind awaiting you there. Fantastic job on that one. I'm looking forward for urban firefights and province battles on Sky Valley.

Ah and some hint that would improve the map IMHO:

Well, that ATG doesnt have much of a view dontcha think? The one near river at least. [ATTACH]63458[/ATTACH]

Other problem is with the mg in the german bunker. It has a very good position on that hill but you can barely see a thing and sometimes the bullets are blocked by the bunker itself. [ATTACH]63459[/ATTACH]

Also I think that on (british at least) main base vehicles spawn after some time so you have to walk or wait as the round begins.

I hope this will help you, and that we WILL see that map in action... someday.

The bots only get stuck in two places, but I placed some waypoints so most bots avoid those places. Other than that the navmesh works great imo. I think 32 bots works best for all map sizes. Personally I agree with the only-historically-correct-maps-rule. People have debated about historical accuracy of this mod a lot (firing postions of the Bren, Grants being too strong and all 89234 other topics), so I don’t think making this map standard is a smart idea. I know that pak isn’t very useful, I mainly put it there to replace the pak38 (without leaving the trench empty). I rotated and moved that mg in any possible direction but this is the best position I could find, my apologies. You can still cover the bridge on the right though. I set the spawn delay at the start on purpose to prevent every player from spawning at the British base instead of the market and rush for the two tanks. I hope this will make the initial fight in the town more intense. Thanks for the replies.

Just curious, what are the stars on the liberty ship's ends, and that red spawn dot on the upper right side of the map for german?
