hi all, im from germany, so sorry for my bad english. Im at the Moment on an Map for FH2. If i want to set a Static i got the following Error message. I dont know what to do?? btw: THX for the nice Tutorials, very good Work.

This message is just telling you that the editor is placing this static object in the default layer, all static objects go in the default layer. If you look a your screeshot in the middle on the right hand side, you can see you are looking at the alexandria layer, if you click on the default layer and then place your static object this message will not come up. The other layers need to be set for your 64, 32 and 16 player layers.

thank you very much, bf2 mapping is sometimes very hard when u have nobody to speak :-) and im also not a professionel mapper but i try to give my best for this map. this map have small closed towns and a close tunnel and mountain fight. if u want, i can post some screnns from the editor the next days and it will be good, you give me some feedback.

Hi kettkar, do you want some feedback? Just a suggestion: Lower the height of the mountains, the mountains on your map look like skyscrapers. to give you an example: http://i201.photobucket.com/albums/aa214/spaetzle1/screen284.png?t=1213176913 change the terrain colors a little bit (you have a clear sky, so the terrain could be a bit more bright/white, at the moment it looks like karkand. Anyway, show us some more screenies! :)

ok, hi spaetzle, first i wanna say the sky is normal and not final, im not sure what skysetting i wanna use. sometimes i think the sky in Gazala will work nice here, but a little bit more sun. I think first i will give the map some structure for the gameplay, look for flags and fightareas, change the terrain smooth and something else. at last i will play with the skysettings. my groundidea was a little hillclimb fight for the brits, a light infantery fight only with landrover to transport. i think they will be 2 towns with each one of them 2 flags (not sure). For the first u can go over the bridge :-) or over the destroyed townwall south. So i will concentrated the fights in the towns and at the way to them. To give the Troops a second way, also around the enemies and attack from behind u see a little tunnelsystem im work on it. So i will make a secondary fight in the mountains, a temple or falgbunker at a top of a hill. remeber its WIP, but im still working on it. but im not the best mapper, i hope i can have a little support when i need it.
