I made base texture for other textures (that will be added in ed 42) using Battlecraft 1942 v. 2.1. I've tested it and everthing is okay, but when I enlarged my maps view distance in init.con textures begun to fall apart on every bumpy (not straight) surface, look at the attached screen. How can I prevent the ground texture from dooing this when view distance is very high (500% of the original). Should i use some other textures or just generate surface maps once again after changing the view distance?

You can change the view distance like you want - there shouldn´t be such an effect. I had an similar problem as i started map maping...i think the you should take a look in your main init.con Or post it here... Edit:And also take a look into your terrain init.con...

I can´t find errors. Your viewdistance is very high - 2000 - what happens with 800-1000 ? -is at that setting everything normal? Did you also increased the loddistance in the terrain init? I will shorten the view distance to something about 1500, with this settings I can see too much (duplicated terrain when I look from the middle of a map). As for the LOD, I'll check it out.

Everything is fine now, thanks for help. I increased the view distance so much because I didn't wanted to have this artificial fog or small view distance, the day when the battle took place was very clear so I done it to increase realism.
