does anybody know how to add vehicle wrecks to a map that have a standard mesh. im trying to make custom maps, adding in wrecks for authenticity, but while the wrecks show in game, i can walk straight through them.

ive tried modifying various custom object files to get what i want with no luck - is there soemthing stupid im not doing?

would appreciate any help

Download the FH files for BC (they can be found in both the "@allmappers" thread and the "mapping tools" thread -both are stickied-) it contains working vihicle wrecks.

dammit - setup the bc42 fh config files ok - but cant get any more items available to use for static obs than is already on the map. also my solider spawns and flags arent visible in bc 42 - i hate it!

isnt there any workaround for ed42? are there any con files i can edit to get them to work? ive tried editing the t34 wreck files from valerisk and inserted zero where i saw t34 but still didnt work. the plane wreck showed up - but had no mesh. im pretty good with con file editing so i dont mind doing the "less funway" of getting this to work.

what editor do the devs use? ed42 or bc42? im really keen on getting working meshes in, but im a bc42 nub and experienced at ed42 and manual con file editing. there HAS to be a way of getting the meshes working this way.....

rem *** Object.create wreck_panzeriv Object.absolutePosition #/#/# Object.rotation #/#/#

wreck_kubelwagen Wreck_aichi2 Wreck_B17_2 Wreck_B17_3 Wreck_Corsair2 Wreck_Mustang2 Wreck_Spitfire_2 Wreck_Spitfire_3 Wreck_hanomag Wreck_spitfire_2 Wreck_spitfire_3 B17_Wreck1 B17_Wreck2 B17_Wreck3 Wreck_corsair2 Junker_wreck_fus Junker_wreck_wing Junker_wreck_tail Wreck_mustang2

If those don't work try to add _M1 behind it -> wreck_kubelwagen_m1

YOu could also try to make your own wrecks, just take a look at a map that contains wrecks and check the directory called "objects" and see how they have create the "custom" wrecks. Basicly you just make a custom object and use the mesh that is used as the wrecked version as the mesh file to be used for your static object.
