My hopes and prayer go out to all the victims and their families that will undoubtedly be affected by this. But, there is good reason to believe that the global community will aide the relief effort, as during any major calamity. Strong Earthquake Strikes Peru

Heard about it on CNN, the tsunami warning is over. Hopefully the deepness of the earthquake (25 miles) helped lessen the damage and loss of life. My thoughts are with the people effected. And hopefully they get whatever help they need quickly.

Holy shit, I was just in Ica in February. Judging from the general quality of the buildings there (thankfully almost nothing higher than 2 stories) I wouldn't be terribly enthusiastic about hanging out there during a _7.9_ (holy shit!)
