OMG!

Thank you whoever suggested NOD32!

It just found 4-5 trojans on my PC.

My god....

Im happy they weren't able to do any damage yet.

They were automatically quarinteend. Though is it safe to leave them in quarantine? Is it possible it mistaked something safe as a trojan? Can they still cause damage in quarantine?

If you have 4 or 5 trojans you're doing something wrong. Make sure you get all the windows-updates, use a firewall, a virus-scanner and configure IE to be more secure.

Condoms?!

O I see, well.

Googleing "Trojans" may give you Trojans.

Helpful hint: pinch the tip while putting them on.

Seriously though, you want to consider the following:

-Run Adaware (from http://www.lavasoft.de) -Run Spybot S&D (google it) and TeaTimer. -ClamWin plus Avast! or a similar combo -Don't use a shitty vulnerable browser (http://www.getfirefox.com is a start) -Get a dedicated hardware firewall that sits in front of your box. Many DSL or wifi routers have this built in. Avoid software "personal" firewalls if you're paranoid. -If you're still suspicious, run the Microsoft spyware removal tool (google it), it's not half-bad. -Set system restore points (google how to do this) once you're reasonably happy with your system -Check sysinternals.com for pstools, process explorer, and file handle tools; they'll help you track down suspicious processes and google to see if they're Bad Things (tm). Very often, a trojan will hide itself under the same name as a legit process (i.e. svchost or such) but with a space attached, or a 0 instead of an O, that sort of thing. The really well-written ones you can't find this way, but it's a start.

That said, if you've quarantined them, that means you found them; just delete them, but as long as they're not being executed, you're fine. PM me if you need some more help.

Thanks :)

Currently im running NOD32, Adaware, AVG free, Mcafee, Clamwin, Spybot S&D, and Teatimer.

Ill set system restore points and check that sysinternals website later.

Also, NOD32 says i have a "JS/IE Trojan". It showed me this the first time i scanned, and now it popped up again, even though im sure it was quarantined. Could the program have made a mistake and mistaken something safe for this?
