Not much info here. Woman sitting on curb bursts into flames; suffers "life-threatening" burns: Woman catches on fire outside Peoria rehabilitation center

I don't know what happened here, but I tend to believe "SHC" is possible simply because there are so many instances in which it seems to have occurred. IMO the supposed "debunking" tests were shamefully amateurish and fixed. Whatever the truth is, those History Channel (IIRC) shows don't prove anything but the willingness of those "experts" and producers to mislead the public.

Tell me something, seems the only show we can trust is South Park.

I don't know, if someone told me that he spoanteously combusted my first assumption would be that he's trying to hide a more likely explanation that he may be ashamed of.

Im no expert on such matters, but chemically you are on fire. You are oxidizing matter into energy, there really can be a connection. I think we need to get George Noory on the case.

You know this will be on the show tonight don't you? ;)

Yeah, me too. I only know of one survivor* case though. The ones I'm familiar with are where the "combustee" died. Usually all or most of the body is consumed to ash, with only objects right next to the victim damaged by flame. It appears as though a very low temperature fire burned the body thoroughly, but did not spread although perfectly good fuel sources were present.

There are numerous links out in the Internets which deal with SHC and there are many pics which show the odd burning characteristics. Find them yourselves you ghoulish wretches.

* Seems I remember one person who was walking down a beach and small flame started on the upper leg, which was immediately put out.

Hmmm how should SHC work when the body is more than 60% water and the energy to burn someone to a heap of ash is quite immense since bones are pesky little hard things that burn so badly. ^^

But hell now that you mention it, I saw a hedgehog spontaneously combust once.*

*Oh wait that was just a normal explosion from being run over. Sorry nothing to see, move along.

"Experts" say it cannot happen.

Numerous doctors and witnesses have been present when people caught on fire, have witnessesed it, or came in immediately afterwards.

I remember reading one case where one person was burned to white ash and almost no bones left even, a TV in the room was warped due to teh heat and yet the sheets the person had been laying on were only singed.

Kinda like Cattle Mutilations. A cow gets butchered by something resembling a laser scapel, organs removed and yet no sound made, no signs of a struggle, no blood on the ground, and no tracks of animals or predators to or from the animal.

And Police think its Satanic cults at work.
