Did a quick search and didn't see anything on this subject. How do anti tank grenades damage a tank? They musn't be able to penetrate the armor, are they just for tread damage? Were they successful in WWII? I just can't imagine how they do damage to a tank.

More explosives. A bigger bang makes a bigger dent my friend.

I know the RPG43 at least was like a hollow charge weapon, meaning it made the same effect than a panzerfaust or bazooka. Geballte Ladung is a stack of 'nades (meaning it will only damage paper armored tank trough sheer "explosion" "strenght"). NO73 I know is shit (I mean, well, I can only tk myself with this pos. It can't seem to even damage a Panzer II). Japanese AT rifle nade is a small hollow charge also.

Re. the geballte ladung: don't underestimate the ability of a very large amount of explosives to damage something through sheer shock.

As we've seen in the Wehrmacht "look at our brave troops blowing up Soviet tanks" propaganda/training video, satchels _do_ make things go boom pretty effectively.

The Finnish Kasapanos was made in 2 kg, 3 kg, and 4 kg.

If the satchel exploded under the tank or at the engine deck.

  • 2 kg (FAI, T-38)
  • 3 kg (T-26,BT-7)
  • 4 kg (T-28, T-34?)

1 kg was able to disable the tracks.

Dont get too close to it. Or you wll blow youself up. Like in real life. IF placed correctly, yeah. Its like a firecracker in your hand. Keep your hand open and most of the force will be wasted. Keep it closed and it will hurt, alot.

It doesnt work the way it does in FH. Effectively isnt the right word. It works but a dedicated AT weapon is better, would be a better thing to say.

Mwah, not far that is for sure. And thats a satchel charge. :)

Do you mean handgrenades or rocket propelled ones like Panzerschrecks?

I would like to have seen FH code a small explosion for AT grenades. I know they left them out for a reason but if they could even make a small explosion for FH2 it would be so nice.
