Yeah, so BF2's got a lot of great mods, and I know it has three WWII mods already - Forgotten Hope (obviously), XWW2, and Frontlines.

Any other promising WWII mods out there for BF2?

I think Battlegroup is going to do a mod too. Not sure if it's "promising" or not, but I think that it would be worth a look.

Battlegroup42 definitely is gearing up for BF2, probbaly will beat FH. For some reason (I forget what) it seems Merciless Creations is doing BF2 work along the line sof what it did in BF1942, which was primarily skins, textures packs, etc.

As far as BG42 or other mods beating FH to a BF2 submission, it hardly matters. I played a lot of the WWII mods for BF1942: BF42+ series (I guess not truly a mod), Ballistik (again, mainly skins, etc.), Merciless, BG42, XWWII, and even a Brazillian-based infantry-heavy mod called Arsenal, IIRC. Each had something to offer (particulalry XWW2. Some of their skins are the best I've seen, and their smoke and fire effects even on the BF42 engine are jaw-dropping. Note to Devs: have you guys and XWW2 ever talked? hint hint). But even though I've dl'd and played all, FH is still the king, and will be when all is said and done with BF2. Regardless of who "wins the race".
