Kinda a spin off of the Spontaneous Human combustion thread...

Anyone ever have weird or strange things happen to them or see things that were just plain weird? I will go first

I didnt remember any of this until several years ago when I was talking to my dad and he brought it up. Apparently when I was young, less than 6 years old I would sit straight up in bed screaming at the top of my lungs "They're here, they are in the house!".

I would be so terrified that I was trembling. my mom would comfort me while dad was running around the house with a 9mm pistol looking for anyone in the house and run around the house outside looking for anyone. I also remember on several occasions while we still lived in that house that I was too scared to go down the hall to go to the bathroom.

Today this would be considered night terrors except I was not disoriented, was aware of my surroundings, and remember my mom comforting me. This happened Im guessing around 1966 maybe?

When I was older, Im guessing about 14-15 yrs old I used to go off into the deep woods near Poland, Ohio. I would take food and water and a .22cal rifle and be gone for hours and just walk around in the woods. Never got lost no matter how deep I would go. If you ever go into the woods there is always some sort of noise, insects, birds, small critters like squirrels and rabbits, etc. One day while walking I suddenly felt a chill that made every hair on my neck stand up and the woods went deathly quiet. I felt a overwhelming sense of fear and dread and turned and ran back as fast as I could. I never went into those woods again. This happened Im guessing around 1976 or 1977.

The third major incident I remember was I and some friends were at another friends house and I was looking at the friends bookcase and he had a paperback copy of what was supposedly the Necronomicon, The person noticed my interest in the book and I was curious so he said I could borrow it.

I read a couple of chapters and then went to sleep. To this day I can rememebr the dream I had vividly. The dream started with me walking across a sandy plain or desert with very little grass or vegetation.

It was very dark out but the feeling was that it was late afternoon. There was a really really bad thunderstorm coming in fast and lightning was rippling through it. One big bolt came out and hit the ground near me and the ground spit open and I fell into the hole I dont know how many feet and landed on a butte. The butte seemed very high and I remember looking down onto a desert landscape that was oddly lit and many of the rocks seemed to be glowing like they were hot. I did not get the impression that this was hell.

When I landed on the butte I was not injured and was brushing myself off and I remember hearing a loud deep rumbling sigh like someone exhaling behind me. I turned and was looking almost in the eye of something large and reptilian. It was looking at me. That was when I awoke from the dream and thinking WTH that was weird.

It was at that moment that I sensed or felt a presence in the room with me. At teh same time I felt a wave of cold terror and fear wash over me so strong I was having to take long deep breaths to calm down. I was actually too scared to roll over and see if anything was there and I could not think of what to do. The only thing that came to mind was to recite the Lords prayer and I did.

As I recited the lords prayer I felt a calmness come over me and I became less tense and relaxed. As soon as I finished reciting the prayer the sense of terror and fear came over me again so I started reciting the prayer again and the calm feelign came over me again. I kept reciting the prayer over and over til dawn rose and literally as soon as it started getting light suddenly the terror and fear left. At that point I rolled over in bed and sat up and the room was empty. I burned that book and buried the ashes. Could this have all been my imagination? Yes, but it was certainly real to me and to this day I dont think I imagined it.

The last instance was the one I have posted here before. Back in late 90's I was walking my dog and was passing through a grade school parking lot near a L shaped inward angle of the building when I felt a presence and took off my headphones expecting to see some kids running up behind me trying to scare me but no one was there.

I had taken a few more steps and felt a sense of fear and foreboding come over me, like something very evil had just revealed itself. It was coming from the corner of the building. The way the light was coming from street lights to the left and right of the building the light did not reach into the corner so it was still fairly dark.

I looked and did not see anything in there and actually took a step forward but my dog Buddy actually pulled back and his ears were laid back like he was scared and he was looking at the corner and looking away repeatedly. I remember closing my eyes and trying to listen to see if I could hear anything but I could not. It was almost like I could feel a presence in front of me that I could feel but could not see.

I turned to leave and decided to put Buddy between me and the corner and Buddy immediately switched around to put me between him and the corner. Buddy was a American Shepard stray that would attack any dog that came into the yard no matter how big and backed a friend of mine into a corner once when he thought my friend was attacking me. Whatever Buddy sensed in the corner Buddy wanted no part of it.

I walked on further but by this point I was a bit rattled and decided it was best to just go on home. As I walked past the corner I walked a little so we would walk back past the same dark corner and again I put Buddy between me and the corner and he was OK with that until we got close to the corner and Buddy moved from my right side to my left side again putting me between him and the corner and his ears laid back and he kept looking over at the corner as we walked by.

I never saw or heard anything in that corner but with every fiber of my being I believe I somehow sensed something was in that corner and my dog could sense it as well. What it was I do not know but I did believe it to be evil, malevolent, or at least ill intended.

I do not consider myself to be psychic or to have special powers but I do believe I am sensitive to things around me so to speak. I sometimes walk into places and feel very ill at ease and cant wait to get out and sometimes I walk into a place and feel very at home.

I absolutely hate going into hospitals. I almost could not visit my mother last time she was in.

I have never seen what I would consider a UFO but have twice seen things that made me go "Hmmm...thats odd".

That sounds like something out of a Vietnam movie :) Those are interesting stories. Normally I'd say you are crazy, but interestingly there seem to be longer breaks between the incidents. I'd imagine a crazy person sees such things all the time.

I don't think I've ever had something like this happening to me. At least nothing serious. There are woods around where I grew up as well, I often ended up walking through them in the middle of the night when returning from a friend's place. Obviously, being a kid and all, going through a dark wood can be a bit unsettling. I remember one winter night where I thought I heard something in the wood. So I stopped and tried to make out if there was anything. In that moment there was a gap in the clouds and moonlight illuminated a deer that was standing a few meters away (apparently it also stopped when it heard me) that promptly jumped away. That split-second between realizing that something is really there and figuring out that it is just a deer scared the crap out of me.

Another bizarred event was in the early 90s. I woke up one night, with the bad shaking like crazy. It was one of those high-rise beds and I thought there must be an incredibly strong and exceptionally crazed men in my room trying to shake me out of my bed. It turned out that it was an earthquake, which is very uncommon in that region (only earthquake I ever witnessed).

A third funny episode was that some of my cousins used to try to scare me with stories of ghosts when I was about 5 years old. That only partially worked as I was determined to get those ghosts out of my house. I proceeded to attack several locations that were allegedly inhabited by ghosts with a bayonet (I asked for a gun, but reasonable as my parents were they decided that this wouldn't be a good toy - and gave me a bayonet instead). That was the last I ever heard of those ghosts. I don't think I ever got to play with bayonets again either.

Then of course there are the strange flying objects my brother showed me one night earlier this year. I still have no clue what I saw there although I do know a few things about planes and spacecraft.

I swore I saw an SR-71 Blackbird making a low level pass near my house (1996 or so).

I remember it somewhat hazily now, big black plane, flat with a long nose. Back then, I was sure it was an SR-71.

The funny thing is if someone tells me a house is haunted or strange things are happening I have no fear about going in and seeign for myself. Now once i am in there if I doo feel bad vibes I am done.

I might be crazy though I lean more towards the rest of the world is looney.

Megaraptor where do you live at? The Blackbird did airshows from time to time and its possible it was entering or leaving the area low and somewhat slow for a airshow pass but the last official flight was in 1999.

At the time I lived in Durham, NC. It was around 1996 or so when it happened.

There is an airport in the area which hosted airshows from time to time.

Over the years I've seen many UFOs, and not "maybe it's just a plane" UFOs, the blatantly obvious kind. I even managed to photograph one of the amber orb type UFOs, but the pictures aren't that great.

I've also had other paranormal experiences such as.. ghosts.. and what-have.

I really don't want to talk about it though...

I see little people at midnight.....muheehehehehehe.

Just kidding, had some weird stuff happen to me. Not sure whether to call it ghosts, chance, aliens, or "omg its CHUCK NORRIS". Must be your normal run of the mill ghost stories though.

Well i have some serius problems when i sleep..

I cant sleep very well... and i think it comes from the past.

Around 2002 or something, my Grandfather came to my house.. whit his Wife.

I was forced to move from my room to another, nothing wrong, i had the PS1 and PS2 in that moment, in my new Room.

One day, it was 4am or something and i saw the light of the Stairs, i tought.. "WTH is going on.. i wanna sleep damnit!".

When i tried to sleep again, i heard someone crying, and the light was still ON.

Then my Father woke me up, telling me "Your granfather is dead".

I couldnt belive it.... such a great person was now dead?... i couldnt belive it.

When i heard the sound of the Ambulance in the street.. i give up and started to sleep again. First i tought it was my Grandmother (Wich is still alive).. because theres a little difference between Abuelo (Granfather) and Abuela (Grandmother). My father told me "Se Murio tu abuelo".. i tought it was abuela.. well..

When years passed.. my grandmother was forced to leave my room, after 4 years.

Now, there is something wrong whit my room.. it may be stupid but its not. My Granfather died right in my room, right in my bed.

Sometimes i cant sleep, others i feel something strange, and others i hear strange noices. When my cat sleeps over the Bed or the chair, he opens his eyes, looks at one point and keeps looking for a while, scared.. then he closes his eyes and comes back to sleep. Sadly i cant write anymore... i have some stories left.

Interesting. I think animals can sense stuff we normally cannot. Their senses are much more highly tuned than humans are.

Von Mudra if you dont want to post in public feel free to PM me.
