Well, I'll be visiting the AK ( Underground army ) museum in Krakow between 14 - 29th Augustus, so I will take some picture's there for you.

I will also be visting the General Maczek museum in Breda on the 17th of September. ( had to call them them to make a appointment, as the museum is located at a Dutch Army Base )

Ok here're some photos from Warsaw Uprising: med.jpgmed1.jpgmed2.jpgmed3.jpgmed4.jpgmed5.jpgmed6.jpg

[OFFTOPIC] and bonus photo Gen Maczek of Polish 1 Armored Division in his Cromwell :D Resizeofphoto003.jpgThe Warsaw Uprising of 1944 — a heroic and tragic 63-day struggle to liberate World War 2 Warsaw from Nazi/German occupation. Undertaken by the Home Army (Armia Krajowa, AK), the Polish resistance group, at the time Allied troops were breaking through the Normandy defenses and the Red Army was standing at the line of the Vistula River. Warsaw could have been one of the first European capitals liberated; however, various military and political miscalculations, as well as global politics — played among Joseph Stalin, Winston Churchill and Franklin D. Roosevelt (FDR) — turned the dice against it.

I've been yesterday on the inscenization of capturing PWPW during Warsaw Uprising (Polska Wytwórnia Papierów Wartościowych) - that was an outstanding show! Too bad, I was in such hurry that I've forgotten to take camera with me :( But there were Opel blitz, BMW with sidecar, Kuebelwagen and SdKfz 251D (they've said that's the only one in Europe - or maybe world - that has all parts original)

And on the 31st there will be a B17 landing on Warsaw's airport Okęcie, so I'll probably come and see it - and this time I'll take camera with me :p (though I'm not sure, whether I won't go on holiday till then)

If you can notice the German medic there, that's the guy I was talking with :p I was standing in a row behind the APC - all covered with smoke, but 1m from attacking Germans :p The best part were explosions - all the audience got covered with debris

There are no US soldiers there ;) You've probably confused them with Polish uniforms. Also the uprisers didn't have their own uniforms, so they either used old Polish uniforms preserved from the 1939 campaign or wore stolen german ones with red and white armband on them
