Hi kids,

today Uncle Fuzzy has a mini-Weird War II for you.

http://home.st.net.au/~dunn/

Looking for pics of Aichi E13A (I have them, thanks) for a parallel thread, I stumbled on this site that lists WWII events in Australia. It's _very_ extensive and has some exotic elements that you might enjoy:

-German maritime activities off the Australian coast -Japanese landings in Australia -Japanese bombings in Australia -Fortifications

and tons (seriously, TONS) of other, more local information, some of it anecdotal but generally very well organized.

Enjoy!

mmm, the famous Midget subs in Sydney harbour, the Cowra prison break, the bombing of Darwin and such and the so called Brisbane line. All very interesting stuff if you look into it

*great grandfather was a Radio officer in the precursor to the SAS, the Z Special Force, he was stationed at Townsville but road on the famous Krait fishing boat from Sydney to Cairnshttp://www.awm.gov.au/encyclopedia/krait.htm
