I was going to wait until FH2 came out buy BF2, but I'm just going to buy it to actually play BF2 since it's so cheap now.

But I have to know if buying the game with all the expansion packs would be worth it? I bought all the 1942 xpacks, and didn't get my money worth due to the lack of (good) servers.

Is anyone playing BF2 xpacks?

Special Forces is quite popular, the maps are generally better than vanilla's. You also get the extra unlocks. However Euro Force and Armored Fury are cheap but have few servers, few players, and few maps. There's almost nothing good about them. Even though they are cheap they are still a waste of your $7.

If it's not too much more to get the collector's edition, do it. EF and AF are nice additions and there are apparently always one or two populated servers when you want them. SF is regularly played too.

booster packs suck, plain and simple....mods have 10x better content and they are for FREE.
