Just spotted this article about the newest Battlefield franchise venture. http://www.ea.com/official/battlefield/battlefield2/us/editorial.jsp?src=bfbc_announcement

Seems EA's finally putting out a single player Battlefield, albeit on the 360 and PS3. So, what do you all think?

dont hire new dev team to make a game the core faitful fans probably wont touch, how bout concentrate your monetary resources on patching/adding content to a game we all already bought? oh wait...we already bought it, so we've been hoodwinked already.

A good single-player game would be a boon to those who have poor (or no) internet capability, but the operative word is "good", of course.

Has there ever been a game of any sort with AI that could be labeled good?

No, but there have been games with decent AI. At least if you compare it to earlier games.

AI have never been a big prority to DICE since the BF we know is a multiplayer game.

Perfect Dark on the N64 was pretty good. Loads of difficulty to have them on. Although this is in terms of console, yet to see a PC game worry too much about AI
