Ok guys im starting this thread to give you guys an idea about the mod, the mod is based around the Korean war from 1950 to 1953, the mods main goals are to create a totally historically acurate and realistic mod wich is fun to play. In the first relaease the devs are going to try and incorporate this stuff listed in the quote below and much much more later on in developement. Most of the information is listed on their site http://www.bf-korea.com/. This was given to me by Zefan, a dev from the Bf-korea, this is just a small list that outlines the basics of what will be in.

very keen on historical correctness and realism (gameplay-changes like removed crosshairs and more realistic weapon-damage) First "main-fractions" to be included: US - North Korea, China Many weapons: M1 Garand, BAR, SuperBazooka, PPSh, DP1928, and many more Tanks planned like M26 Pershing and the T-34/85 with jets like F-86 Sabre and MiG-15

Basically it will have anything that was used in the korean war, but the main stuff will come first. That is just a small taste of what will be in, like alot more weapons, and more factions maybe, but thats what is planed for now. Also some of you may have heard that the mod is dead, well thats just not true, the mod is still being created, its just taking a very long time because the team is small, but it has a Backstage Area for registered forum-users, which is similiar to a dev-diary and stuff, where diferent stuff is shown from the developement. So i sugest all of you check the mod out at their site,http://www.bf-korea.com/, and see if you like it, if so join the forums and help create a larger comunity. Sorry if i repeated myself a few times, just trying to get the mod more known.

I would like to see this mod get released very much. There arnt many movies or games that do the Korean war justice. Hence, the 'forgotten conflict' :(.

Well, yeah, and I've done it myself, but there's usually, uh, you know, a reason to revive it.

The reason is to have our own thread for BFK, rather than keep posting in some1 elses thread, like we were doing.

Yes....we had a talk and figured it wasnt nice to spam on someones thread like that.Well, we still need coders if I ever want to shoot that damn MIG 15 down with the gracefull F-86 Sabre! That would be great to shoot down them NK simpathizing Ruskies!lol no offence to any russians, you are good ppl. Right now the rudder wont respond much on the Sabre,so thats all it needs to work well, everything else is perfect on it,the cockpit looks like something akin to FSX, on high no lie!You can see it on my sig.Well the MIG 15 is perfect,no problems and very responsive to joystick.I love those planes but have not had a proper dogfight yet online.plz oh plz someone that can help correct this,we will be greatfull for it.Well im not asking for someone to code the whole thing but just try to fix the rudder, only on the F-86 Sabre.Thats all it lacks. Thanks so much fo hearing me out,and as always:If you have any questions on BF Korea, just ask me or the other beta testers here.

So can you guys tell us about some of the vehicles and special features we'll be seeing eventually in BF Korea?

I've been to the homepage and looked at a few renders and screenshots and I am rather impressed. One specific question I was curious about: will one of the helicopters be able to heal people (ie. the one they used in MASH)? Or is that even possible to code in BF2?
