Yea thats right, bugs, viruses, spyware, adware, downloaders, DNS hijacks, we alllll love them. I'm beginning to think my computer is a Virus magnet, I don't understand how time after time, smitfraud and virtumonde can rear their ugly faces. Or how many times I can get system32 rundll.exe running some stupid virus .dll perfectly named with random letters like this: ghtetwkd.dll, I mean its just rediculous. Sure, I can pretty easily isolate, chest, rename, and delete the virus files, but its still annoying as hell when those raise my CPU Usage to over 100% and my computer can open its start menu let alone load Internet Explorer to download fixes. My tools consist of MSconfig, Task Manager, and a ton of random fixes. How often do you guys experience viruses? Personally, im getting sick of having to fix one every 2 to 3 weeks, especially ones that Hijack me. Stupid bastards, I mean, do the people who write these programs have nothing better to do, than sit in their moms basement and create Viruses and Spyware to "steal" information. Get a Job perhaps? That might help. It just gets me pissed. While I am happy for programs like Avast! I guess the consequence of having the router plugged into your cpu, is like having an open door to your home 24/7. Im just realizing my clock got set to military time, :Puzzled: random, and strange. on a final note: I HATE VIRUSES, SPYWARE, ADWARE, DOWNLOADERS, DNS HIJACKS, SMITFRAUD, VIRTUMONDE, AND ALL THE NO LIFE LOSERS OF THE WORLD WHO CREATRE THEM. That is all.

Use an alternative browser like sugested above, a better firewall than the one in XP/Vista, get a good Antivirus program that is configured well and running all the time. I don't get bothered by anything you've mentioned in your post Archimonde0_0 and i like it that way.

edit: Also try an alternative email client. Since Outlook is very common it is a very attractive target for the bad guys. Another good tip is to disable the Not show known file extensions in the Folderoptions (windowsexplorer),this way it is easier to see the real file type. Most times in emails you get files named like 123.jpg while the real file is 123.jpg.exe, but the .exe is not shown.

Comcast offers free Mcafee, a little Windows defender... and not clicking on the moving target in a banner ad... I dont know why everyone gets this crap. I use XP, with IE, Ive gotten one or two in my life but with a little research, I was able to clean them up... no hoity toity browsers and OS's that you elites try to push!!! Just a little common sense and self restraint and Im able to avoid them.

I don't watch pron. I believe there has to be a downloader somewhere on my PC which is downloading other viruses, I cannot even go here without a pop-up and my Avast! going "Uhm, dude, virus" Time to go on the hunt >:(. We spartans are desendant of Hercules, Leonidas gives testiment to our blood line, his roar and long and loud... I try Mozilla but...I just dont like it, One at first I couldnt even get it installed, Two, it screwed up my computer more than it already was once. And the third time my internet felt like Dial-Up when using it.
