Long story short, I uninstalled BF1942 and FH from my computer (:bawl:) so that I could concentrate on schoolwork for awhile. Throughout this week, suddenly all I can think of is this one song that's very gloomy and moody (and sung in a foreign language) that I remember from Forgotten Hope. I think the file was called like Karelia_radio or Karelia_propaganda or something - I had seen it before while looking through the FH sound files. (The sound file starts with the song, and then goes on to some guy talking, like radio broadcast style. I'm not sure what the language is.)

Anyways, for whatever reason, this song is haunting me, but as I've already uninstalled both BF1942 and FH and I didn't save the song to my computer, I can't really access it. Can anyone here send me that song? Like I said, I think it had Karelia in the file name, but it might have been something else that started with a K or something entirely different.

If anyone could help me, I would be sooooo happy.

Of course, I could just download the entire mod, but downloading a multi-gig mod on DSL for just one file is a bit of a hassle.....

http://www.fkhalbe.net/halbelieder/freiwillige/fin5.htm

There it is available for download as MP3 (http://www.fkhalbe.net/halbelieder/freiwillige/elama.mp3)

Does it lose some atmosphere when the radio isn't cracking? :p Do you need the FH file with the broadcast then still?

Thank you so much! I wish I could understand it, or even tell what language it is (Finnish? German?)....such an awesome song.

Finnish. Axishistory gives a (bad) translation: Life in the trenches

Our way brought as to battle, where only bullets sang, when departing we didn't know who could ever return. The life in trenches is to us only a command of fate, and perhaps it's our destiny to disapper in the chaos of war. When night came at last, we where given a brief moment to rest, Everyone around the campfires warmth have fallen asleep. I'm remembering you again, I still see a tear on your cheek, even if I'd be left on the battlefield, your picture shall be the last for me. clear.gif
