Bikewer;4749713...I find lately I simply don't have the time to master these more complex games. Dedicated flight-sims require almost the amount of dedication and training you'd expect from a real pilot. I have to have a large cheat-sheet hanging next to the screen to keep track of all the commands. Being an infantry grunt is much easier...[/quote]

So it wasn't just me! Heh, I was used to Miscrosoft's EZ Uber Flying Skillz, like pulling 9 G turns and doing Immelmann loops at 1000' altitude. So when I climbed in the Sturmovik, I didn't have enough hands to keep that beast flying, much less play like a Russian Rudel. Anyone want to buy a barely used 4-tear-old copy of "IL2" ?

It's true. It's also irrelevant and counter-productive. When the designers of IL2 see each other at the unemployment office they can proudly tell themselves they had the toughest-to-learn (and the lowest-selling) major label air combat sim in history.

Except IL-2 is considered the leading air combat simulator, and it has probably sold more copies then any other combat flight simulator out there. The fact is that most people who play combat flight simulators want that hardcore realism, and IL-2 delivers it in spades.

Yeah, I've only seen one game from an actual company and not a mod, that rivaled IL-2 in fun and realism, and that was Falcon 4 Allied Force. Man, that game continues to consume hours, days and weeks of my life. There's just something about a super-realistic flight model, combined with an awesome dynamic campaign, that just makes blowing up DPRK armor columns that much more fun

Well, I don't want it to be all hard and stuff. When I was flying I wanted to get up there in my long-nose FW, bristling with 20mm guns, knocking those B-17s down left and right. You know, 6 or 8 a mission.....like in real life.

Besides, why you wanna step on a perfectly good meme-ender with....with....facts? I mean, really, SR. Besides, you're a Spammer: you broke the Intergalactic Spammartian Congress Rules For Living by putting two, count them, two, separate and complete sentences in your answer, gussied up with an independent and dependent clause. Sheesh.

I don't know if you have played it, but there was a modern helicopter simulator called Hokkum or something along them lines, I used to play that game for hours, loved those helicopters, but the best part was that the simulation didn't end, in other words it didn't have a end date, and there was just a constant war simulation going on. Was a lot of fun!

However I believe there is a difference between war simulation and ...down right impossible to understand war simulation...I.E. Hearts Of Iron

You're right, the dependent clause was completely uncalled for.
