It will not bother me at all if FH .62/3/4/5(whatever they decide to call it) is not released in the next 5 weeks as..... My $560Au Asus (genuine) FX5800 Graphics Card shit itself, no less than 10 DAYS after its 12 month warranty was up!!! Man, I cannot believe it. The shop where I buy my components in Melbourne, Australia has a 12 month unlimited hand back warranty, which means they will give you a new replacment for whatever breaks down, and I missed out by 10 days!!! Of all the shitty luck... They have sent it back to Asus Melbourne, to see if it can be fixed. If they cant fix it/dont have the parts, then they have to send it back to Korea. Which means I out for at least a month. They gave me a ATI Radeon V7000 just to keep my com running. I tried to start a game of BF up, and after chucking up all over the keyboard, I have decided that I cannot run a V8 on 4 cylinders. (Yes, the game ran/looked that bad.) So I say good gaming to you guys, especially the guys on the Xtra server in New Zealand for I will not be among you for quite a while. If anyone else would like to share their Computer Component Horror Stories with me, I would appreciate it. All the Best Regards Creeping (David) Death

I pitty you. One month without proper hardware can be hard... Make sure you have decent cooling in your PC, usually hardware lives longer like that.

Thx for the tip, although I do have 3 fans in my case, as well the the card having its own built-on fan.

I got a good one. About 2 years ago I found a good deal on Pricewatch for a mobo combo that would upgrade my pathetic 400mhz machine to a brand spankin new Soyo Dragon+ board with a 1.5ghz processor. I bought it, installed it correctly, upgraded my gigabyte of SD ram to DDR ram (costly :() and had it running great for around 2 months. I don't ever turn in warranty cards because they use my address or email for spamming and selling to penis enlargement ad companies, and my penis is large enough as it is. The board ran fine for around 2 months, then I started downloading some larger files. I noticed that more often then not, they'd be corrupt or unopenable. Then, when moving stuff from CD to my hard drive, I found that files were getting corrupted.

My instincts said my HD was bad (a brand new 100 gigabyte Western Digital high-end) and I grudgingly replaced it with a new one, @300$

The problems persisted.

So I thought it might be a heating problem, and I bought a huge new heatsink and like 12 case fans. Installed...

The Problem still persisted.

So I got mad and actually broke down and called Tech Support. They said to "Update my drivers". I told them politely to F*ck off.

Turns out my brand new Soyo motherboard had a bad IDE controller. I would have figured it out sooner if it was an older board. And because I didn't send the warranty slip in.. I got smacked and had to buy a whole NEW board. This time, not a Soyo.

Total cost to me was something like 1500$. I've learned a lot from that experience.
