A death that will be sorely missed in the world. Although both controversial in Australia for his almost ridicule Aussie accent, and then the baby incident, he had a fan base of over 200million people world-wide (mostly in America). He will be remembered both for his hard fought conservation work both for the enviroment and animal welfare, but also phrases such as "crickey!" and "ain't she a beauty!" Let the work he started continue as will his image remain in our memory.
i think this is the 3rd thread about it.. where did the 2 other go??

I couldn’t believe it when i heard it, he's a hero, and on his shows he seemed invincible. Its sad, I loved his shows, appreciated his work, liked the person.. The world has lost a champion.
I expected him to go down in a fierce wrestle with an anaconda or something.
The first TV program I watched with my 1987 TV was his. Thanks for the show that night, crazy croccodille dude.
A Damn shame!!! A Realy intresting person, He made some realy great programs,, And did alot for nature, as The 13the raptor sed: The world has lost a champion.
foodmaniac2003I expected him to go down in a fierce wrestle with an anaconda or something.
He got pierced through the heart by a Stingray.
If any other celebrity died, say Tom Cruise, Britney Spears or Fuzzy Bunny. I won't even care, may even laugh depending on how they did it. But Steve Irwin's death has made my working day pritty sombre.
