Nice. Good choice of music, and nice editing overall.

How many Danes are down there? And arent Norway and Denmark working alot together down there?

There are two Danes there, and they're both extremely sunburnt from having put away too much Carlsberg and passed out outside their tents.

GauntletHow many Danes are down there? And arent Norway and Denmark working alot together down there?

i think the count is about 530 right now. as far as i know norway dosent have any soldiers in Iraq. arent you thinking about Afghanistan? but also dident they pull out last year from there?

but i could only imagen they would have worked together when they where there, atleast i think our airforces where stationed at the same base.

right now denmark is taking a pounding in afghanistan where they are comming under attack every day at their camp in Musa Qalah in the Helmand province. (over 50 attacks since june 21)

i just read in the paper today that Denmark is sending their special forces (jagerkorpset) down their to help clean out the Taliban from the area

Norways havent pulled out of either Afganhistan, but it seems you are right about that we are out of Iraq. Everything but some few officers scattered around here and there. In Afganhistan we have 450 soldiers and officers, including an armored quick reaction force equipped with CV9030s, which makes us the 8th largest contributor of men down there. Norway's best Spec Ops team, the FSK (Forsvarets Spesial Kommando = Armed Forces Special Commando) have been there from day one, and are still there.

Is the Danish Spec-Ops team's name Jagerkorpset? Norway has some spec-ops teams called Marinejegerne and Fallskjermjegerne, is it anything close to this?

nice pics!

good to hear they are still there. actully i think i remeber now that it was only the norwegian airforce that went back home (any info on that?)

yeah it's exactly the same thing i think. Denmark has Jagerkorpset (equally to Fallskjermjegerne) and Frømandskorpst (equally to Marinejegerne)

jagerkorpset was in Afghanistan from the beginning of the war too but i think most of thier operations where moved to Iraq when the war broke out there.. but now it seems they are heading back to Afghanistan.

but it's hard to know cuase there really isent much infomation about these special units

Great pics guys. Lots of European countries have people in A-stan.

Here are some pics of our forces in Afghanistan (about 2500 in total), most of them are based in Uruzgan:

Spoiler: Show

Mostly Royal Army and Royal Airforce for ISAF and SF for OEF. Sofar we've only lost 2 men in a helicopter crash, an apache and 2 chinook helicopters due to either the weather or pilot error. Aside from a pre emptive strike on a Taliban outpost our troops haven't had to take any offensive action. The SF probably have but that stays secret and of course our F16 detachment provides CAS to the British and Canadian forces as well as our own. The latter in cooperation with the Norwegians btw (1 NLD/NOR EEAW or 1st Netherlands-Norwegian European Participating Forces Expeditionary Air Wing in full).
