I like to test out different mods, just to get a feel of them. I took a spin with PR and I wasn't really impressed. The game wasn't very pretty. I have my settings maxed and it was sort of a letdown. I love the models and maps from FH- they are just so detailed! I also found the game play to be rather slow, and "non epic" Meh, maybe thats just a fact of life for modern warfare. I used an SKS rifle, and it was pretty crude looking. The guy just stuck the 10 round stripper clip in without a hitch, it looked kinda fake in my opinion. I just though that was a little interesting. I would give PR a 4/10, and FH an 11/10

I understand why you thought that, but to be honest, at least so far, I have had many more very rewarding gaming moments in PR than in FH2. PR is not about eye candy or fancy features -- it's a very solid, realistic, and unique tactical mod for BF2 and I think when you get a team of hardcore players where everyone knows their job, it's an unbelievable and unbeatable experience.

FH2 could be the same way, but unfortunately most of the public servers are in disarray and people don't work that closely together. You have to join a tournament to get that kind of teamwork.

I've had a lot of sweet games on FH2. I started playing with Lightning, and then Mr. Cheese would show up and maybe Pepe. We use the FH teamspeak server and its pretty fun :)

I agree, downloaded PR the previous week. set all graphics to "highest" and all that... graphically FH2 is FAR superior! Although I enjoy reality-games, PR is almost too much reality. I usually hate when people complain about "having to travel from point A to point B to get killed instantly". but that's how my experience of PR have been so far.

But I really think if I just give it more time I will get better and then it will be more fun (managing to survive +2 minutes), And sadly, PR has more teamwork potential than FH, since you almost can't to anything without another players cooperation.

And yeah, the public servers of FH2 have not been filtered from "vanilla BF2 players". for 2 weeks now when I've been playing, of the top 3 servers (hslan, wolf, antik) there is perhaps 2 out of 16 fireteams where the squadleader don't give orders. and when I create a squad and start to give orders no one obeys them. I'm really getting sick of this... It makes the game.. well boring actually. guess I'll just have to join a tournament. [Off topic] And can anyone tip about a good tournament? and a link to its website. [/Off topic]

Edit: after seeing Spencers post, I just wanted to say that I've really had some sweet games on FH2 too. at least a couple of weeks ago. What is the FH teamspeak server? never used teamspeak, but is there one "Official" for all of FH2?

You could try as I mentioned before the FH teamspeak server on the homepage. A lot of the forum regulars/devs come in from time to time and its quite fun playing with them in your squad :D

I agree it's sweet when people actually work together and fight as a unit, but keep in mind that this scenario you just explained was with people you knew already. I get awesome experiences quite often on the Tactical Gamer's server with people I've never even met before.

Albeit, PR can be very frustrating and slow paced, but I like the feeling of being on a large battlefield, being assigned a task, and doing that task. Even if it means just sitting and defending a spot, I find that fun. Perhaps those kind of games aren't for everyone, but I really enjoy them.

PR is great. You absolutely detest it at first, then you love it.

first time i played on tactical gamer i had awesome teamwork with the whole team. added it as a favorite immediately when i stopped playing. but after that, tactical gamer never were populated again. what happened to it, it were on the top 5 for quite some time.

I wouldn't say PR sucks and I wouldn't give it a 4/10 while giving FH2 an 11/10, sounds quite unfair. PR is for people who are driven towards teamwork, reality and long lasting battles at the extreme. Though I do find FH2 to be much more balanced, it's realistic, if you get in a good squad you'll have fun, matches are not un-ending matches but rather half an hour/45mins per map, you see lots of action and well I find it more balanced. The devs from PR seem to be blindly driving it's gameplay towards reality. The result is A REALLY COOL REALISTIC AND TACTICAL GAME that consumes your time enormously... I'll stick with FH2...

Oh it's back to being full again 24/7 barring a server crash occasionally. It's really tough to even get in that server.
