The rain effect looks totally awesome, I wonder about fps though. And the tunnels are just ditches in the terrain being covered up with stuff.
Still looking forward to the mod though, EoD for BF1942 was great fun.
That looks pretty sweet, i cant wait for this mod either, its going to kick ass.
it sucks the bf-1942 EoD died and only a few people only get on now
Battlefield Vietnam had real tunnels on some map, Saigon or something... The minimap even changed to one showing the tunnels when you entered them.
I don't think anyone can argue the fact that EOD on Bf1942 rocked equally as hard as FH.
Of course Charlie don't surf was a legendary map but my personal fav was the close combat ones, most notably the one which took place in a large river with a hill in the middle, the Americans always met the Vietnamese half way in a valley - leading to massacres
Anyone remember the name of this map? hope they remake it for Bf2.
I loved EOD,DC & Pirates. DC had some really good maps esp the sea rig one and it was the first real total conversion MOD for BF1942, Pirates was fun for a few days after each release and EOD was just kick ass really. I also loved that map Capone but I can't remember its name as I've not played EOD for years.
Eclipse now that was a classic, charlie don't surf was boring imo. The only fun thing was playing wagner from the huey. Khe Sanh valley with the red sand was very nice too.
I had fun with DC too although they kept nerfing everything and than in the final version things improved a bit again. The weapon damage model in DCF was much better than in BF2.
Seeing this kinda reminds me of the good 'ol days of BF1942. Playing late night rounds of FH .61/.65, vamping n' camping DC servers using mortars and snipers with Run 4 Da Gun, raping the Allies on Nordwind and Breakthrough with MkH, Lightning, and the other ESF guys. And, of course, I could never forget the massive EoD battles with SW3D3, where each team had at least 14 guys on TS just for fun.
Those really were the days...
Oh, and of course watching Mr. MG42 here beat the piss out of tanks on El Alamein with his beloved planes. :vikki:
Me and a couple other people won a EOD-42 contest a long time ago so one of the American bots is named after me.
