Moose12;5215332... Therefore, if there was no law, no bars would be smoke free, and I would not be able to go to them.
Not be able to or not willing to? Do thou have disease or something that prevents you from inhaling smoke or such?
Asthma. So yeah.
not to sound like an ass moose, but cause of you thousands or millions have to change their habbits? its not like a bar is a human right. No one is forced to work there, and no one is forced to go there. And if you make bars smoke free by law, you will see half of them go bankrupt and the other half struggling to get by, which the law in belgium did to Taverns already and soon to bars. So you wont have a smoke free bar to go to anymore.
And ill stick with the 481267 things that will kill you more likely and you still do everyday like eating meat full of hormones and anti biotics or just breathing the air.
Ive added being a smoker to the things I have learned about Stefan!!! It goes right next to being president of the Belgian chapter of the Michael Jackson fan club! LOL!
Damn I remember smoking everywhere. Every table at the McDonalds had those little foil ashtrays, Hell I remember there were ash trays built in to pinball games! AC power adapters in cars were called cigarette lighters... dems da days, I tell you...

Smoking is also not a human right.
Moose12;5215666Smoking is also not a human right.
exactly, as to why im fine with banning smoking from public places, and to even not allow under 16 year olds to smoke , or at least not buy it.
Wow, I'm sorry to say this Stefan, and this is gonna sound weird....
But for once, you and I are on the same side.
Does this mean the world is going to explode or something?
Also, as a note, if bars want to stay in business, they will cater to both smokers and non-smokers by having non smoking areas and smoking areas, or such. No bar is simply going to say "No, we don't want money from non-smokers." They will want BOTH types of people to come to their bar, otherwise they're cutting out very important demographics.
Just a little update on this topic; beginning this year, all cigarettes in stores have to be hidden from sight. If you want to buy a pack, you will need to know the name and the categories of cigarette products. According to the new law, the customer will not see the cigarette packing, cigarette names or their pictures. Sales only pull out tobacco products from the normally closed, opaque cabinet. Vending machines near the cash register must show the number, instead of packets of the picture. What number represents what brand is can be read off a list handed to you by the teller.
The point is to prevent kids from shoplifting cigarettes and to simply get the temptation out of view. It's also another small annoyance every time you buy them which is another encouraging factor for people to quit I guess.
