'[WOLF Ionizer;4885363']....I know jumjum was just kidding about accusing me of being....whatever the hell he accused me of being in faux German (at least I hope he was kidding)....

Okay, it's gotta be a generational thing. When I grew up, by the time a kid was 12, he had seen approximately 200 tv/movie scenes involving a formulaic interrogation by the Gestapo of the brave Allied hero/heroine. They were almost all of the tone - even the very lines - of my post.

And the reason you were being "interrogated": no one is so naive as to seriously review a poem about a machine-gun mount, mister! Only someone like Poetry Fan 1337 would do something like that!

*cue dramatic music -"dum dum duuuuuum!"*

Quick, who won the pennant last year? Who is Mickey Mouse's girlfriend, huh? And who is Betty Grable's fiance'? And you better not say 'Cesar Romero', buddy!

I bet your favorite meal is wienerschnitzel! Or is it sukiyaki, huh? Say "Walla Wallal"! "Lollapalooza"! "Lagniape"! Wait, we don't know how to say that ourselves....

"I see nussing", I guess you just need the correct TV channels playing the classic reruns as I got 'zee Juhman' references.

The pic should have given it away, since it's from the scene in that movie that my dialogue is taken from: Battleground from 1949, starring Van Johnson, James Whitmore and Ricardo "Cor-eeeen-thian Laaythur" Montalban. A truly great, great picture that has to be among the top 4-5 films about ground war in WWII. It won 2 Oscars (cinematography and screenwriting), and was nominated for a total of 5 including Best Picture and Whitmore for Best Actor.

1949 was without a doubt the best year ever for WWII movies, since that was when Twelve O'Clock High came out too, which is itself the best movie ever made about the air war in WWII. It was also when Sands Of Iwo Jima came out. No other year came close to being that great.

Also, the fairly forgettable, but still watchable, Task Force with Gary Cooper came out the same year. So there it's all pretty well handled except the naval war in the Atlantic. ETO ground in Battleground, ETO air with TOH, Pacific ground in SOIJ, and Pacific naval and air together in TF.

About that Estonian stuff, I asked FeelFree (Frey) if it was real and yes, it is Kuuksteids Kuud or something like that. Just want to confirm that. Now where can I get the cheapest tickets..
