I have this weird thing that after I play bf2 for 2 hours without a hitch, suddenly the thing lags like crazy. I can't get out and I have to reboot my pc. After that the same thing happens when I start it up again.

Have you tried shuting down all unnecesary processes? Have you got your firewall and antivirus shutdown? http://www.answersthatwork.com has a complete list of processses and what you can safely shut down. Go to the task list.

The latest patch messed up all of my shadows ingame and makes the game look very glitchy(more then normal :) )

Hehe, atomhart your comment reminds me of how I just installed FH .7 on a buddy's computer about 2 weeks ago and he's got 3200 AMD 64 1gb ram and 9600pro and the game ran choppy, that's when I told him he had to turn some stuff off. There's no need for someone to had 43 process running when you're at an idle desktop.

Anti-virus,firewall,spyware scanner, more than 1, tonnes of stuff, just rediculous. That's when I told him the only thing that starts up in my system tray when I boot up is my volume. :D
